Video Generator

Create a standalone clip from a prompt, frames, or reference media.

Video Generator makes a single clip. It is not the brand video-ad workflow and it has no brand picker. Finished clips save to the team Media Library.

Open it from Tools → Video Generator (Open Generator).

When to use this instead of brand Video

You wantUse
A raw clip from a prompt, start/end frames, or referencesVideo Generator (this page)
A brand video ad with scenes, captions, and a timelineBrand home Video, or team Video Playground
An AI restyle of an existing clipEdit video

Before you start

  • You are in the correct team
  • You know whether this model needs a prompt only, a Start frame, or at least one reference
  • Optional: an image already in Image Studio or a media library — Create Video and Remix links prefill mediaAssetId

1. Open Video Generator

The idle heading is Create Your Video.

There is no destination brand control. Do not expect the clip to appear on a brand until you move it there from the team Media Library.

2. Describe the clip

  1. Type in the composer. The placeholder is Describe the scene and motion… (or Describe the scene and motion — tag references with @name… when mentions are available).
  2. Open the settings pill (ratio, resolution, duration, count, Sound) and adjust what the model allows.
  3. Optionally add an Avoid / Negative prompt, or pick a Character when the catalog offers one.
  4. Use @ to tag a reference in the prompt when the tray has named assets.

3. Add frames or references when the model needs them

What is required depends on the selected model and mode:

Mode or requirementWhat you provide
Text-onlyPrompt
First & last frameStart frame required; End frame optional on some models. A start frame is required to use an end frame
Reference generationAt least one image or video reference, or a Character

You can generate a Start frame, End frame, or Reference Image from the frame editor, then return with Back.

If the button stays disabled, read the hint under the composer — for example Start frame required for this model or Add at least one image or video reference (or pick a character).

4. Generate

  1. Choose Generate video (shortcut ⌘⏎).
  2. The page shows Generating your video....
  3. On success, use Regenerate, Download, or New video.

The toast confirms the clip was saved to your media library. Multi-output runs save every clip there.

Deep links

?mediaAssetId= preloads an image or video as a frame, reference, or remix source. Brand Media Library → Create Video uses this. It does not accept brandId.

After you finish

  • Find the clip in the team Media Library
  • Open Edit video if you want an AI transform of this clip
  • To build a brand video ad around it, start from the brand home — Create ads
