Generate Vector turns a text prompt into vector artwork. Use it for icons, simple illustrations, and logo-like marks — not for photographic stills.
Open it from Tools → Generate Vector.
Before you start
- You are in the correct team
- You can describe the mark in one prompt
- Optionally select a brand if you want the file stored there, or if you want to load that brand's color palette
1. Write the prompt
The Prompt field is required. The placeholder is Describe the vector you want to generate...
The empty preview reads Your generated vector appears here.
2. Set model and size
- Choose a Model. Typical options are Recraft V4.1 Text-to-Vector and Recraft V4.1 Text-to-Vector Pro.
- Choose an Aspect Ratio: 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, or 9:16.
- For 1:1, also choose Image Size: HD or Standard. Other ratios show Auto from aspect ratio.
3. Constrain colors (optional)
- Select a Brand (optional) if you want one.
- Choose Load Palette to pull colors from that brand's guidelines. If none exist, you will see No color palette found in brand guidelines.
- Or use Palette Colors (optional) and Add color (up to six).
- Toggle Background Color Enabled or Disabled.
4. Generate
- Choose Generate Vector. The button shows Generating....
- When the preview appears, use Download or Open.
The file saves to the team Media Library, or to the selected brand. Output is SVG or PNG depending on the model response.
After you finish
- Drop the mark into a brand Media Library if you generated it on the team and now need it on a brand
- For photographic product shots, use Image Studio instead
