Review and Approve a Set
Check what a set will make, see which rows are skipped and why, read the exact quote, and approve.
Before anything is generated, a set's page shows a review: what the set is made from, how many ads it makes, which rows it skips, and the exact quote. Approve there to generate. Nothing is charged until you approve, apart from an optional paid preview of AI values.
Availability: personalized creative sets are rolling out to teams gradually. If you do not see Sets in the brand sidebar, your team does not have them yet. Contact support to ask for access.
You reach the review from Review set in the editor's Personalize with data panel, from Personalized set on a campaign, or from a link an assistant gives you.
1. Let the set be prepared
Right after Review set, the status is Preparing: We're checking every row, fetching its images and pricing the set. This usually takes a few seconds, and the page updates by itself.
A set an assistant drafted starts as Draft — Not prepared yet. Choose Prepare quote.
If preparing fails, the card says Preparing this set failed with the reason. Fix it, then choose Try again, or Discard the set.
| Reason | What to do |
|---|---|
| This set selects N rows. A set can have at most 5,000. | Pick fewer rows or use a filter |
| This set would make N ads. Your plan allows up to N per set. | Pick fewer rows or sizes |
| Some bindings in the mapping are broken… | Open the template in the editor, choose Personalize with data, fix the listed variables, and save |
| That version of the data sheet is no longer available… | Start the set again from the sheet's current version |
| The template no longer has these sizes… | Start the set again with the template's current sizes |
| Preparing this set took too long. Try again with fewer rows. | Split the rows across several sets |
2. Read what the set makes
What this set makes shows:
- Template and its size count, and the Data sheet with its version
- Sizes you chose
- Rows — such as 40 rows selected · 4 rows will be skipped
- Ads — such as 40 rows × 3 sizes = 120 ads
When the mapping uses AI, it also shows the AI work after reuse — see AI values per row.
3. Check skipped rows
When rows cannot be made as they are, a card lists them: 4 rows will be skipped. Rows are grouped by reason. Expand a reason to see the row keys (or row numbers).
Common reasons:
- A required value is empty: headline is required, but this row has no value.
- An image cannot be used: not found, could not be downloaded, larger than 20 MB, not a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF — or not a public https link
- A link is not a full https link
- A value is too long, or an amount, number, or date cannot be read
- A currency does not match: price: €25 is in EUR, not USD.
A row blocked in only one size still renders in its other sizes. The Ads line then notes how many ads are skipped.
To fix skipped rows, correct the sheet (and reupload) or the mapping, then choose Refresh quote. Or approve without them.
4. Read the quote
The Quote card is the exact cost of this set: one render per ad, plus the AI values it still has to make. Each line shows a quantity, a per-unit price in credits, and a subtotal, with the Total at the bottom:
| Line | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Renders | One per ad (Bundle builds for rich media, one per row) |
| AI images | New AI images the set must generate |
| Background cut-outs | New product cut-outs |
| AI copy | New AI-written text |
| Already charged (preview) | AI values you already paid for with Preview 3 rows first |
AI values the brand already has are reused at no cost, and the quote leaves them out.
Credits are taken as ads finish, and never more than the approved quote. An ad is charged once it renders — including ads marked Needs review. Ads that fail, or that you cancel before they render, are not charged.
Quote expiry
Under the lines, Quote valid for 14:32 counts down. A quote stays valid for about 15 minutes. After that you see This quote expired. Refresh it to approve. Choose Refresh quote to check every row again and re-price — also do this after you fix the sheet or the mapping.
5. Approve
- If rows are skipped, tick I understand 4 rows will be skipped.
- Choose Approve & generate 116 ads.
Approval checks your credits — counting sets that are already running — and your plan's limits. If it is refused, you see why:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| You don't have enough credits for this set, including the sets already running. | Add credits, or make a smaller set |
| This set has more ads than your plan allows per set. | Pick fewer rows or sizes |
| This set makes more new AI images than your plan allows per set. | Use fewer AI image variables, or fewer rows |
| Your plan doesn't include creative sets… | Upgrade your plan |
| This quote expired… | Choose Refresh quote, then approve |
| Other sets are still being prepared… | Wait for one of them to be ready |
After approval, the same page becomes the set page and the ads start rendering — see Work with a creative set.
Discard cancels a set you no longer want before approval.
