Remove Background is a one-purpose tool: cut the subject out of a photo and keep a transparent PNG.
Open it from Tools → Remove Background.
Before you start
- You are in the correct team
- You have the source image, or it is already in a media library
- Optionally pick a destination brand if you want the result stored on that brand
1. Add the source image
The left panel is Original. Use any of these:
- Drop a file, or click the empty state Drop an image here or click to upload
- Upload / Change Image
- Browse Library
- Paste URL, then Load
Accepted files: PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF, up to 10 MB. The empty-state hint mentions PNG or JPG; the other types still upload.
A pasted URL must start with http:// or https://.
Picking a library asset may set the destination brand from that asset. You can still change or clear the brand.
2. Remove the background
- Confirm the original preview.
- Choose Remove Background. The button shows Removing... and the right panel shows Removing background....
- The right panel is Result. When it finishes, download with Download PNG.
The result also saves to the team Media Library, or to the selected brand's library.
Limits
- One source image per run
- 10 MB upload cap
- The tool spends team credits. If the button reports insufficient credits, add credits on the team and retry
This tool does not open Image Studio. For prompt edits, reframe, or upscale after you have the cutout, open the PNG in Image Studio.
