Image Studio is the team image workspace. You stay on one canvas: generate from a prompt, drop an image to edit it, then switch tools on the rail.
Open it from Tools → Image Studio (Open Studio), or from Edit Image, Reframe Image, or Upscale Image on the same page.
The empty canvas heading is Start creating. The body reads Describe an image in the prompt below, or drop one anywhere on the canvas to edit it.
Use the brand picker in the top bar. When a brand is selected, generated assets save to that brand. Clear it to save to the team Media Library.
You can create a brand from the picker if you need a new destination.
Example chips under Try a prompt are starting points only. Replace them with your own brief.
If the run returns several images, pick one from the grid before you continue editing.
To edit instead of generating:
Accepted uploads: PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF.
The rail sits on the left on desktop and above the composer on mobile. It is not a set of tabs.
| Rail control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Prompt | Create an image from text |
| Edit | Modify the image with AI |
| Reframe | Change the aspect ratio (outpaint). The canvas previews the target ratio live |
| Eraser | Remove parts of the image |
| Gen Fill | Paint a region, then add objects to it |
| Upscale | Increase resolution. Popover title Upscale Image, with Model and Factor (for example x2 or x4) |
Edit, Reframe, Upscale, Eraser, and Gen Fill stay disabled until an image is on the canvas.
The panel header is Edit image. Describe the change, then Apply. Cancel with esc or the close control.
Pick a target ratio. The canvas previews it before you commit.
Choose Upscale. The button shows Upscaling… while it runs.
The top bar includes Undo, Redo, Hold to compare with previous version, Download, and New.
Create Video appears only after the canvas image has a saved media asset — typically after you generate, or after an edit that persists. A fresh upload or library drop can hide it until then. When it is shown, it opens Video Generator with this image as the source, and it stays disabled while a job is running so you do not send a stale asset.
New starts a blank canvas.
Desktop also shows a Recent filmstrip of earlier results.
| Query | What it does |
|---|---|
?brandId= | Prefills the destination brand |
?mediaAssetId= | Loads that asset on the canvas |
?tool=edit, ?tool=reframe, ?tool=upscale, ?tool=eraser, or ?tool=genFill | Selects that rail tool — only if an image is already on the canvas |
?mode=generate | Forces generate mode |
A Remix link from a brand Media Library typically includes mediaAssetId and brandId.
Important: Opening Edit Image from the Tools index without a source image still lands in generate mode. Put an image on the canvas first, then use the rail.
