Nano Banana 2 Lite and Gemini Omni Flash Are Here

Google's fastest image model and its new conversational video model land in the model pickers on day one.

Google just released two new generative models — and both are now available as featured models in our pickers.

Nano Banana 2 Lite (Image)

Nano Banana 2 Lite (gemini-3.1-flash-lite-image, aka Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite Image) is Google's fastest and cheapest image model, generating images in as little as 4 seconds.

  • Everywhere images are made: available in the image generator, the image editor, and as a static-ad model.
  • Generation and editing: text-to-image plus editing with up to 14 reference images.
  • Aspect ratios: 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 4:5, 5:4, 9:16, 16:9, and 21:9.
  • Resolution: 1K output — built for high-volume, interactive use.
  • Strong fundamentals: prompt adherence, character consistency, and legible in-image text.
  • Pricing: $0.045 per image.

Gemini Omni Flash (Video)

Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-flash-preview) is the first release of Google's new Gemini Omni "any-to-any" family — a fast video model with native audio on every output.

  • Text-to-video and image-to-video: generate from a prompt alone or animate a still — with up to 3 reference images for consistent products, characters, and styles.
  • Conversational video editing: also available as an edit model — element replacement, relighting, restyling, and perspective changes on clips up to 10 seconds, with audio regenerated on every output.
  • Native audio, always on: speech, sound effects, and ambience synthesized with every clip.
  • Durations: 3-10 seconds at 720p, 24 FPS.
  • Aspect ratios: 16:9 and 9:16.
  • Pricing: $0.13 / second of video ($1.04 for an 8s clip). Reflects the upstream $0.10/s rate with our standard 30% platform markup.
